Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information YouTubePlays ("we," "us," "our") collects when you visit youtubeplays.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built this site to be read by real people, so we've tried to write this the same way — plainly, without unnecessary legal padding.

Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information:

• Information you provide directly — for example, your name, email address, and message when you use our Contact form. We use this only to respond to you.
• Information collected automatically — standard technical data (browser type, approximate location from IP address, pages visited, referring site, device type) collected through analytics and, where you've consented, advertising cookies. Analytics

We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics (GA4), which helps us understand which pages are useful and which aren't. Analytics cookies only load after you accept them in our cookie banner, and Analytics data is reported in aggregate — we don't use it to identify you individually.

Advertising and personalized ads

YouTubePlays plans to run contextual and, where you've given consent, personalized advertising through Google AdSense once our application is approved. If and when ads are live on this site:

• Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings or via industry tools like the DAA opt-out page.
• Declining advertising cookies in our cookie banner means you'll see non-personalized ads instead, not fewer ads.

Current status: as of this policy's last update, no advertising is live on youtubeplays.com— see our Disclaimer for details. This section is here so the policy is accurate the moment ads go live, not after.

Third-party vendors

We work with, or plan to work with, the following categories of third-party vendors:

• Analytics: Google Analytics, via Google Tag Manager.
• Advertising: Google AdSense (pending approval).
• Affiliate networks: Amazon Associates and individual software/VPN affiliate programs, which may set their own tracking cookies when you click an affiliate link. See our Disclaimer.
• Email delivery: our SMTP provider, used solely to deliver messages sent through our Contact form.

Each of these vendors has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data; we don't control their practices beyond the consent settings described here.

Cookies

Data retention

Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and are not added to any marketing list. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

Your rights

Children's privacy

YouTubePlays is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
